YOU JUST DON’T KNOW WHERE TO START?
You are not alone!
Struggling with infertility isn’t just a physical challenge, it’s an emotional one. The infertility journey can be tough on the body, mind, marriage, relationships, and so much more. Often the doctor’s offices are so busy, that getting the emotional support and guidance you need is impossible. Couples are sometimes left to their own devices to figure out the rocky road of treatments. They often look for more than a cold medical point of view, someone who can help them through each step of the process, supporting and guiding them on what they could try next to succeed.
Women who have the right mindset and get mind-body help have a higher chance of conceiving, fewer miscarriages, and so much more. Couples can get so caught up with treatments, diets, lotions, supplements, and worrying about mounting costs, that it’s easy to forget there is a woman living inside the body they are trying so hard to get pregnant!
The infertility journey isn’t just a huge investment of time and money — it requires an unquantifiable investment of precious emotional capital.
What women experience on this journey isn’t just your garden variety sadness or disappointment. It rocks them to the core of their confidence, self-esteem, and identity as women to “fail” at what most people consider a basic biological function. This stress is only amplified by the pervasive shame that shrouds this topic.
According to the Center for Disease Control, in the United States, among heterosexual women aged 15 to 49 years with no prior births, about 1 in 5 (19%) are unable to get pregnant after one year of trying (infertility).
About 1 in 4 (26%) women in this group have difficulty getting pregnant or carrying a pregnancy to term (impaired fecundity). Also, 7.5% of all sexually active men saw a fertility doctor at some point in their lives, and that 18% of these men were diagnosed with some type of fertility issue.
